What we do
Our work focuses on supporting women and children in rural Swaziland to change their own lives and circumstances. We do this through supporting projects that help alleviate poverty, by protecting communities from harm and creating opportunity, that will lead to significant social change.
Where we work
We work in a small and beautiful country, in southern Africa, called Swaziland. With a population of just over a million people, the highest HIV prevalence in the world and one of the lowest life expectancies, this country has some serious challenges to overcome. Yet still the people of Swaziland are filled with hope for the future and so are we.
Who we are
We are an innovative and forward thinking charity, working directly with grassroots organisations across Swaziland. We were founded in 2005, after being inspired by an incredible Swazi woman and have been working ever since, to let the world know about Swaziland and support women and children across the country as they work their way out of poverty.
Our Impact
Our projects include: providing education for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC’s) supporting women to generate an income for themselves and their families, providing basic health care and ensuring communities, particularly OVC’s, have access to food through a feeding and nutrition garden programme. We are proud to have supported hundreds of women and children to improve their circumstances and have a brighter future.
